Note | The text of Hikayat Aceh (1) is a copy in Batavian Malay of ms. Or. 1954, which contains the story of Sultan Iskander Muda of Aceh (1583?-1636) starting with his genealogy on his mother's and his father's side, his birth, his youth during the reign of his grandfather Sultan Alaaddin Ri'ayat Syah Sayid al-Mukammil, his fame in the east during his youth continued by his fame in the west during his reign; then the story goes back to the reign of his grandfather ending with the latter's abdication. |
